BC Future Stars: Chloe Ip-Jansen

We're thrilled to highlight yet another incredible young talent in our BC Future Stars series at MileSplit BC! This week, the spotlight shines on Chloe Ip-Jansen, a versatile athlete who's already making waves both on the track and the cross-country trails at just 12 years old.

Representing both the Vancouver Thunderbirds and West Point Grey AcademyIp-Jansen has shown an incredible ability to compete against athletes of all ages. At the Gunner Shaw Memorial MeetIp-Jansen placed 4th among female competitors in the 5km course with an impressive time of 21:45.1. Going up against athletes decades older than her, Ip-Jansen's performance on the challenging terrain was a testament to her strength and determination. Earlier in the year, lp-Jansen also competed in the Vancouver Sun Run, finishing as the first female athlete in the U14 mixed-gender 3km race. Despite competing as a U13 athlete, she placed 9th overall with a time of 11:45, setting the bar for her age group.
