Kunka also tested his skills south of the border at the Nike Hole in the Wall XC Invitational in Arlington, Washington, competing in the Elite Boys 5000m Race. Against a field of 154 athletes, he placed 13th with a  time of 15:11.

On the track, Kunka's versatility shines through. His personal bests include an impressive 1:58.76 over 800m, achieved at the 2024 Harry Jerome Track Classic. He's also clocked 4:02.04 in the 1500m and 8:34.77 over 3000m.
