This week, we shift our focus to the pinnacle of Canadian cross-country running: the 2024 Athletics Canada Cross Country Championships, held November 30-December 1 in London, Ontario. With more than 1,300 athletes competing across all age divisions, BC's runners delivered standout performances on the national stage. Alexa Dow (U18 Girls 6K, Prairie Inn Harriers Racing Team)
- Performance: National Champion! Alexa clocked 21:44.3, a commanding 14 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor, securing the gold medal.
Amelia-Ahn Lou (U16 Girls 4K, Okanagan Athletics Club)
- Performance: A remarkable podium finish, Amelia placed 3rd in her division with a time of 14:55.6, showcasing her strength against Canada's best.
Leslie Sexton (Senior Women 10K, Vancouver Thunderbirds)
- Performance: Leslie claimed the Senior Women's National Championship, running an impressive 36:33.3 and winning by over 10 seconds.
