It's time to vote for the BC Performer of the Week for October 7th - 13th! This past week saw some fantastic performances from both girls and boys on the cross-country trails. Here are the nominees:
Izzy Hageliet - The Grade 11 star from Charles Tupper claimed victory in the Senior Girls Race at the Fraserview VSSAA XC Meet. She completed the 3.8km course in 16:38.9, finishing over 20 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Sasha Dehal - Dehal continued her stellar season with a dominant win in the Junior Girls race at the Crescent Park South Fraser meet. She finished the 4km course in 14:38.2, being the only athlete in the field to go sub-16 and sub-15, winning by a margin of 1:37.3.
Janaya Sandhu - From Ecole Salish Secondary, Sandhu took the top spot in the Senior Girls race at the Crescent Park South Fraser meet, clocking 20:38.1 over 5km, the only runner to dip under 21 minutes.
Nico Stockwell - Stockwell of Charles Tupper secured first place in the Senior Boys Race at the Fraserview VSSAA XC Meet, completing the 3.8km course in an impressive 13:45.0.
Abet Gutsche - Gutsche of St. John Paul II shined in the Men Para 2.01km race at the Crescent Park South Fraser meet, winning by a huge margin of 3:11.7 with a time of 7:25.6.
