It's time to vote for the BC Boys Performer of the Week for September 30 - Oct 6!
This week saw outstanding efforts from BC's talented boys in cross-country meets across the province. Let's take a look at some of the top performances.
Isaiah Johnston - Representing Clayton Heights, Johnston took home the win in the Junior Boys 4km race at the Campbell Valley XC Meet, clocking in at 11:53.6. Out of 157 racers, he was the only athlete to break the 12-minute barrier, showing exceptional speed and stamina.
Ben Gibson - The Grade 10 athlete from Point Grey captured the Junior Boys 4.1km race at the VSSAA XC Meet #2with a time of 15:28.67. Gibson's strong showing led the Point Grey Junior Boys team to a first-place finish with 16 points.
Benjamin Smith - The Grade 11 athlete from Templeton claimed victory in the Senior Boys 4.7km race at the VSSAA XC Meet #2, crossing the line in 15:44.44. Out of a field of 63 athletes, Smith was one of only three runners to dip under the 16-minute mark, highlighting his incredible pace.
