BC's Field Event Standouts
Men's High Jump (Auto-Standard = 2.05m | Top Rank = Aiden Grout, TORO, 2.15m)
The nation's best high jumper this season hails from British Columbia - Aiden Grout (University of Toronto) leads all U SPORTS athletes with an impressive clearance of 2.15m. His teammate Alec Brent is tied for 5th in the nation at 2.05m, ranking 4th in the OUA.
Men's Long Jump (Auto-Standard = 7.18m | Top Rank = Kenneth West, WEST, 7.90m)
Surrey's Ryan Denman (University of Toronto) holds the 4th spot in U SPORTS with a jump of 7.36m, matching his OUA ranking. Caleb Emon (Trinity Western) is 20th in the nation at 7.01m, ranking 6th in CanWest.
Men's Pole Vault (Auto-Standard = 4.83m | Top Rank = Michael Ivanov, BROC, 5.11m)
Trinity Western's Dajean Clark ranks 14th in U SPORTS with a clearance of 4.45m, currently placing him 4th in CanWest.
Men's Shot Put (Auto-Standard = 15.80m | Top Rank = AJ Stanat, WIND, 17.43m)
North Vancouver's Alex Wahl (University of Calgary) sits 15th in the country with a best mark of 14.23m, ranking 6th in CanWest.
Men's Heptathlon (Auto-Standard = 4904 | Top Rank = Édouard Lavoie-Beaulieu, SHER, 5202 converted)
Dajean Clarke of Trinity Western currently sits at 14th nationally with a point total of 4790; this also ranks him 4th in CanWest.
Women's Pentathlon (Auto-Standard = 3647 | Top Rank = Sienna MacDonald, CALG, 4181 converted)
Madison Gordon (University of Alberta) is 19th in U SPORTS with a converted score of 3273 points, placing her 9th in CanWest.
