BC Girls Performer of the Week: Sept 23-29

It's time to vote for the BC Girls Performer of the Week!

This week featured strong performances from BC's talented girls in various league and club meets, as well as competitions in the U.S. Let's take a look at some of the standout efforts.

Sasha Dehal - The Ocean Athletics and Panorama Ridge Secondary athlete had an impressive week. She claimed victory in the Junior Girls 3.3km race at South Fraser League Meet #2 with a time of 14:23.4, finishing more than 50 seconds ahead of her competition. Dehal also won the U14/U16 mixed 3km race at the Festival of XC, dominating with a time of 11:00.1, a full minute ahead of the rest of the field.

Kate Rourke - Rourke, from Kitsilano, won the Junior Girls 4km race at the VSSAA League Meet #1 with a time of 16:19.4, leading her team to a 6th-place finish overall.

Mary Neill - Representing WPGA, Neill finished 13th in the Girls Small Schools Varsity 2 race at the Desert Twilight in Arizona. She ran the 5km course in 20:39.00 in a competitive field of 184 athletes, helping her team place 3rd with 122 points.
