Team Selection: BC Athletes Set to Shine at Nationals

Amidst the exhilarating buzz of anticipation, British Columbia's team selection for Legion Nationals and the Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships has been announced. This marks a pivotal moment in the promising careers of BC's up-and-comers and allows for the opportunity for the veteran athletes to share their experiences and knowledge with their younger teammates.These individuals will proudly represent their province in Sherbrooke, Quebec and Langley, British Columbia later this summer.

For over five decades, the Royal Canadian Legion has been an unwavering pillar of support, empowering young Canadians through training and competition in the world of track and field. The Legion National Championships stands tall as the nation's premier and sole nationwide competition, exclusively catering to talented U16 and U18 athletes, fostering dreams and aspirations.

In the same spirit of camaraderie, the Township of Langley, British Columbia, takes pride in being the host of the 2023 edition of the Bell Canadian Track & Field Championships. Building upon the triumph of the 2022 event, the 2023 edition promises to showcase national championships for Senior, U20, Para Athletics, and Combined Events-adding an extra layer of excitement by serving as Trials for the 2023 World Athletics Championships set to take place in Budapest later this summer.

For the chosen athletes, donning the Team BC colors is an immense honour - a culmination of hard work, dedication and passion for the sport.
