Top BC Athletes to Represent Canada at the U20 Pan Am Champs

More of British Columbia's top high school and university level athletes have been named to Team Canada!

A few weeks ago Athletics Canada announced a number of select athletes who were named to the NACAC U18 and U23 Championship Team, as well as the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games Team. Just yesterday another announcement came, listing a number of athletes set to represent the maple leaf at the upcoming U20 Pan American Championships, which will take place August 4-6th in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. 

For most, this will be the first time they are able to represent Canada on the international stage, both an honour and incredible opportunity and experience. 

Here are the BC standouts that will wear the maple leaf in just over a month's time: 

Amelia Kristen

Kaiya Robertson

  • Events: 1500m/3000m

  • Coach: Corey Ihmels

  • Club: Unattached BC
