The VSSAA Preliminaries, which took place May 3rd and May 5th at the Rashpal Dhillon Track and Field Oval saw two great days of competition. This meet determined which athletes would represent VSSAA at the Sea to Sky Zone Finals set to take place a few weeks from now on May 23rd and 24th.
The qualification process? Simple. The top six athletes in each event advance.
As for the Sea to Sky Zone Finals, this meet will include athletes from VSSAA, North Shore/How Sound and Independent school leagues where the top five athletes from each event will qualify for the BC High School Track & Field Championships.
But for now let's get into some of the results from the VSSAA Preliminaries. Numerous athletes cracked into the VSSAA Championship Top 10 Performance List - which combines all divisions - marking their names into the record books.
